JUSTICE AND FREEDOM FOR OROMO

OPDO MEMBERSHIP ‘A’ IS FAR BETTER THAN ACADEMIC ‘A’  FOR OROMO STUDENTS TO BE EMPLOYED

  The dictator Ethiopian Government always tired of planning new strategy to stay on power for a long period of time. One of the strategies was applied before few years and still working on Oromo students, it was given to OPDO from EPRDF. To apply the strategy effectively OPDO central office appointed one person to each university in ETHIOPIA, the appointed person has to speak AFAN OROMO, active member of OPDO, has to be orator and degree holder. Responsibility of the appointed person:

•    Spying on OROMO students
•    Stop any meetings of Oromo students in that specific university
•    Giving warning and complete dismissal being with the university administration for the Oromo  students who are criticizing the government policy
•    Sent  active Oromo students to notorious WEYANE prisons like KALITI and MAEKELAWI
•     Making students candidate for OPDO membership
•     Arrange continuous meeting and try to convince students by talking about the job opportunity they have if they become full membership of OPDO
•     Evaluating students and giving OPDO membership activity grade from  A to C

The criteria to hire graduated students depend on their OPDO membership activity grade in which students with A-grade have highest opportunity.

Most of the Oromo students which are not active members of OPDO and do not have A-grade in membership activity struggle with life because no any sector in OROMIYA who can hire them without the criteria above and they finally ended in working as a daily labor on coble stone road while they have academically very good grade point, this is how the dictator ETHIOPIAN government demoralized and paralyzed economically educated Oromo’s but as history shows this type of strategies will never stop the OROMO struggle for freedom.
